EK1 - THE LITTLE BROTHER OF EK3<\/span><\/h1>\n<\/div>\n

Following the successful market launch of the EK3 in autumn 2020, electric two-wheeler manufacturer HORWIN is further expanding its range of electric scooters. From January 2021 it will be joined by its new little brother, the HORWIN EK1.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The two eye-catchers are largely identical in appearance and size. The major differences: while the EK3 has a\u00a0<\/span>central engine<\/span><\/b>\u00a0The EK1 is fitted with a wheel hub motor. The maximum power is 2.8 kW, which puts it in the\u00a0<\/span>vehicle category L1e<\/span><\/b>\u00a0. This also shows why the EK1 is considered the little brother of the EK3 (6.2 kW\/L3e).<\/span><\/p>\n

With the bright colours\u00a0<\/span>orange<\/span><\/b>\u00a0and\u00a0<\/span>medium blue<\/span><\/b>\u00a0as well as the\u00a0<\/span>matte black<\/span><\/b>\u00a0and\u00a0<\/span>the white<\/span><\/b>\u00a0The moped or motorbike also appeals to a younger audience.\u00a0<\/span>Equipment highlights<\/span><\/b>\u00a0EK1\u00a0<\/span>with all-round LED lights, automatic light-off delay, cruise control, reverse gear, under-seat helmet storage and ergonomic design.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

HORWIN EK1 is equipped with a 72 V high-voltage intelligent lithium battery. With a capacity of 26 Ah, it has a maximum range of 70 km (standard range).<\/p>\n

It is also optional with two removable batteries available. The SOC monitoring system and modern BMS battery management system can effectively reduce outages and provide multiple protection.<\/p>\n
