EK1 - THE LITTLE BROTHER OF EK3

Following the successful market launch of the EK3 in autumn 2020, electric two-wheeler manufacturer HORWIN is further expanding its range of electric scooters. From January 2021 it will be joined by its new little brother, the HORWIN EK1.

MOPED WITH ENVIRONMENTAL COLOURS

The two eye-catchers are largely identical in appearance and dimensions. The major differences: while the EK3 has a central motor, the EK1 is equipped with a wheel hub motor. The maximum power output is 2.8 kW, which puts it in vehicle category L1e . This also shows why the EK1 is considered the EK3's little brother (6.2 kW/L3e).

With its bright orange and mid-blue colours, as well as matt black and white, the moped or motorbike also appeals to a younger audience. EK1 highlights: all-round LED lights, automatic light-off delay, cruise control, reverse gear, under-seat helmet storage compartment and ergonomic design.

HIGH VOLTAGE INTELLIGENT LITHIUM BATTERY

The HORWIN EK1 is equipped with a high-voltage 72 V intelligent lithium battery. With a capacity of 36 Ah, it has a maximum range of 75 km.

It is also optional with two removable batteries available. The SOC monitoring system and modern BMS battery management system can effectively reduce outages and provide multiple protection.

VISIBL DRIVING FORCE

The HORWIN EK1 is equipped with a high-performance hub motor rated at 2800W max. Power. The motor has a high energy exchange efficiency with low energy consumption and instantly increases the super driving force.

THREE-LENS INTELLIGENT LED HEADLIGHT

The headlights feature three LED lamps. Their bright, white light literally cuts through the darkness. An automatic time-out function when the lights are switched off illuminates the path to the garage or front door before you get out.

DAY FIRES

DRL automatic daytime running lights enhance safety, particularly on rainy and foggy days.

BACKWARD

The R button can easily help you move the vehicle with reverse power.

A COMPLETE OVERVIEW THANKS TO A MODERN COCKPIT

The LCD screen displays all kinds of driving information, with driving data available at all times. The display colours are green, blue or yellow and depend on the speed at which you're driving. It's the perfect combination of fashion and technology.

Vacuum tyres fitted to the EK1 offer exceptional grip on the road surface. They are unbreakable, wear-resistant and last longer than ordinary tyres. A perfect combination of safety and comfort.

The high-strength light-metal wheel hubs are made from aluminium alloy. They give the front and rear wheels exceptional stability and resilience, yet are relatively light.

COMFORTABLE DRIVING - WHATEVER THE ROAD

The EK1 scooter is equipped with two hydraulic shock absorbers at the front and rear. They offer the rider an exceptional driving experience, whatever the road conditions.
