An ideal compromise between a children's bike and an adult mountain bike, our Acid 240 is the perfect choice for budding cyclists who want to ride with their friends and parents. That's because when our engineers set out to design it, they started with the same type of heat-treated 6061 aluminium tubing we use for adult bikes. The result is a frame that is as strong as an adult model, but with a weight that is appropriate for the child. The mechanically formed tubes also put it at the cutting edge of technology. Its geometry has been designed to meet the needs of young cyclists. So it's stable, easily controllable with a lower down tube for greater confidence and safety, and the removable derailleur hanger ensures that shocks or other mishaps don't result in excessive expense. It is equipped with a Suntour fork for greater comfort and control on rough surfaces, and features a Shimano 7-speed drivetrain with Velo grip control so you can tackle any climb or descent. The brakes are powerful V-Brakes that are easy to control thanks to their levers designed especially for small hands, and a power modulator at the front.
