The EK3 has been designed for everyday use, covering even longer distances quickly, elegantly and economically. This electric scooter is spacious. Its ergonomic seating position is well thought-out and comfortable.

The EK3 has been developed in accordance with the latest safety standards and is equipped with a number of high-tech systems. A CBS braking system, LED lights, lights-out delay function, keyless start, touch-screen start, cruise control, reverse gear, anti-theft alarm and puncture-proof tyres: all come as standard with this low-maintenance bike, which stands out for its low running costs!

ENGINE
VERY EFFECTIVE

The central engine developed by HORWIN generates 6.2 kW at a speed of 95 km/h. The EK3 accelerates to 60 km/h in six seconds, and maximum torque is obtained as soon as the throttle is applied.

The motor's constant power output ensures that the bike runs silently in all road conditions. What's more, the highly efficient motor perfectly combines performance and low energy consumption. All the finely-tuned components ensure that the bike's trouble-free, easy-to-maintain chain drive system operates efficiently and stably, keeping this electric scooter running cost-effectively.

LIGHT
LED DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS FOR IMPROVED SAFETY

The DRL automatic daytime running light comes on with an intense white LED light. This enhanced lighting system improves safety, especially on rainy and foggy days. An automatic switch-off delay function when the lights are off illuminates the path to the garage or front door before you get out.

The headlights are equipped with three LED lamps. Their brighter, whiter light lets you literally cut through the darkness, making them far superior to standard incandescent lamps. Compared with the yellow light produced by conventional halogen lamps, the colour of these LED lamps is also a very good approximation of natural daylight. They give the driver a more realistic impression of the road situation.

The scooter key has an integrated remote control. This means you can start, stop and immobilise the e-scooter without even having to put the key in the ignition switch!

The anti-theft alarm system can also be activated and deactivated using the remote control.

To start the EK3, simply take the ignition key with you. When you approach the scooter, it unlocks automatically. All you have to do is press the start button. When you leave your EK3, it's automatically relocked. Simple and practical!

The HORWIN EK3's large display shows you all the information you need during your journey: current speed, cruise control, battery level, range and much more. With its modern design and latest technology, it also clearly displays all the information you need in the dark, thanks to its backlighting.

A particularly practical and innovative feature: when you slide your finger across the touch-sensitive starter strip at the bottom of the screen, you can start the engine.

THE BATTERY
A BATTERY WITH ITS OWN MANAGER

The EK3 electric scooter is equipped with two rechargeable lithium-ion batteries, which can be easily removed. The bike is supplied with Samsung's efficient 18650 lithium-ion battery model.

The SOC monitoring system and modern battery management system are capable of preventing malfunctions. Among other things, they protect against overcharging, discharging, overvoltage, short circuits and also monitor battery temperature.

Battery life is 1000 charge cycles. It takes around 4 hours to charge a battery.

BRAKING SAFETY
A SPECIAL BRAKING SYSTEM THAT IS BOTH INTELLIGENT AND INCREASES SAFETY

The CBS braking system is designed to make braking safer and more stable. It improves protection against the possibility of one of the wheels locking.

The CBS (Combined Braking System) distributes the braking force between the front and rear brake discs. This means that if you need to brake in an emergency, the braking distance is reduced, guaranteeing safe braking at high speeds. This braking sensitivity allows extremely precise handling when approaching and navigating bends and when the road surface is wet.

Another advantage is that CBS is very cheap to maintain and replace.

WHEELS
EMPTY TYRES, NO MORE BREAKDOWNS

Vacuum tyres fitted to the EK3 offer exceptional grip on the road surface. They are unbreakable, wear-resistant and last longer than ordinary tyres. A perfect combination of safety and comfort.

The high-strength light-metal wheel hubs are made from aluminium alloy. They give the front and rear wheels exceptional stability and resilience, yet are relatively light.

The FOC field-oriented control system is, so to speak, the brain of your scooter. It ensures that the bike starts quickly and smoothly, and balances power and energy consumption to improve engine control.

The system recognises your driving conditions and controls the engine for optimum performance.

What's more, it optimises energy savings and performance. It even recycles energy during certain braking phases. And it limits the power delivered during certain phases of acceleration.

COMFORT
ERGONOMIC DESIGN FOR AN OPTIMISED SITTING POSITION

HORWIN's engineers have correctly interpreted the meaning of the familiar words "bigger is better". That's why they opted for a spacious footboard and a wider, longer seat.

The distance between the seat height and the footboard has also been kept as large as possible, to avoid bending the rider's legs too much. The ergonomic design and optimised seating position make riding more relaxed and comfortable.
